May 17th

At 8:00 AM on Monday morning the 17th of May, 2004, the doors of Arlington Town Hall opened to allow same-sex couples to apply for marriage licenses for the first time.

Open Eyes Video was there as the first marriage applications were filed. We were also there out on the "front porch" of Town Hall to catch the scene and conduct interviews as about 150 well wishers lined the steps.

We now have a fully edited documentary program of this event available, running approximately 45 minutes. Bay Windows, a Boston based newspaper, printed a review, which you can read here.

The program is now available on either DVD or VHS cassette. To order a copy, please see our order page.

A premier was held on Saturday, May 20th, 2006, in Arlington Center, attended by over 100 people. For further details, please see our events page. If you missed it, and would like us to schedule another public showing, please contact us.
