No New Toasters

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

We reach into the waste stream, yank out some of the good stuff (people throw the most amazing things away!),
give it some tender loving care, and you benefit!

Nature reuses and recycles everything. Nothing is wasted. We humans could learn a thing or two.

OK, so we haven't gotten to the toasters yet. But we're working on some other ideas right now.

1. We're looking for used computer universal power cords. A lot of times the equipment is obsolete but the cord is still in good condition:

2. We're also looking for the recessed male end, typically riveted or bolted into the computer, printer or other equipment:

This one may be harder to extract from equipment that is slated for recycling, but if you have used ones that are not cracked or damaged, we are interested.

3. We are also interested in panel mounted convenience outlets. Again, you'd have to drill out and perhaps unsolder one of these to save it. This is likely more rare than the recessed male computer power connector shown above.

4. Shredders. If you are throwing out a shredder because the motor has burned out, we're interested:

Our aim is to reuse these items or parts of them instead of just recycle the materials.
